Chilly pan mee is a normal bowl of stringy pan mee (flour noodles), topped with a poached egg, cooked mince pork, crispy anchovies (ikan bilis), fried onions with some spring onions.

What’s so special about chilly pan mee, is this:
The chilly. Made of deepfried red chili peppers, this is the life of the noodles. While the noodles are good enough to be eaten on its own, adding a little bit of these flakey chili peppers gives a whole new dimension to the pan mee.
Add more to your liking, but be careful! They are quite spicy, and I usually taste as I go. Make sure to stir the noodles thoroughly, as the chilly tends to sink to the bottom. I made the mistake of heaping five teaspoons into the noodles the first time I ate it, which turns my noodles bright red and totally unpalatable, and some bouts of stomachaches later.
They are usually served with a bowl of green leafy vegetable soup.
There are many places that serves this chilly pan mee, but so far this Batu Road Super Kitchen chilly pan mee is among the decent ones near my place.
