KTZ @ SS2
SC was around SS2 area and suggested for some sugar high dessert night in KTZ SS2. Not one to miss out a good chance to eat, we went. There were only 3 of us, right after dinner, but we went for an order frenzy nonetheless. All the sweet soup desserts are referred to as tongsui later on in the post.

We ordered two thick, pasty dessert, the peanut paste and black sesame paste tongsui.

SC’s white, creamy wheat tongsui.

This water chestnut tongsui came with 2 glutinous rice balls after I forgot to order the balls for SC and was shown sad face ala sad crab ( refer to crab photo at the bottom).

My mistake for ordering a cold shaved ice mango (mango-loh). The mango was not sweet and the pile of ice were reduced into phlegm-like substance after melting. Eww.

Sad crab is sad. Just like SC without glutinous rice balls.

Something to munch on. This wallband is just so-so, but the name got stuck ever since.

The only not sweet thing on the table. Feels weird munching on them after mouthfuls of tongsui.
My vivid memory of KTZ desserts was during childhood when my aunt tricked me into eating frog ovaries soup. Being young and naive, I was happily slurping it, until one day someone enlightened me. Right now, I can’t even find any frog soup ovaries to eat. Er, I mean frog ovaries soup. Nevermind.
I’ve been having KTZ dessert ever since their days in Kepong, and they are comforting. Wouldn’t mind going back to the SS2 branch every now and then for the tongsui.
