han woo ri

Korean food is one of my favourite comfort food. Having moved up to USJ. I have yet to discover which Korean restaurants in the neighbourhood serves Korean food to my liking, so I just randomly pick one and hope for the best. This is my first visit to Han Woo Ri, USJ Taipan.

Their side dishes or banchan, is on the dainty side, but they automatically refilled it when we finished a particular banchan.

pork

Since there’s only three of us, I ordered the standard Korean pork belly slice and marinated pork BBQ, and a dolsot bibimbap.

The service is above average, maybe because it was weekdays. Nonetheless, the servers are attentive and we give thumbs up for the effort of changing 3 BBQ grill plates for the 2 pork dishes we ordered, so that there’s no conflict of taste between the dishes. They even dish up the meat to avoid overcooking instead of just leaving it to char on the hotplate. I like that.

fresh pork belly

This is BBQ fresh pork belly, cooked and cut into slices.

Marinated pork. This taste a lot like satay, really.

As usual, all meals include complimentary slices of watermelon and sweet tea, and Han Woo Ri serves barley. No photos though. The bill comes to about RM80.00. Taste wise, this place is worth returning to.
