Review: I Just Call to Ask for Recipes
I have an aunt who is a great cook. Most of the tie during family functions and gathering, she will cook up a lavish banquet fit for the king, and everyone enjoys her cooking so much so that they insist to get recipes from her most of the time. Of course we know that the cook’s personal touch will make the food great and not the recipe alone, but the recipe itself is a fundamental starting point of a good dish. Fortunately, this aunt of mine is generous with her culinary secrets, and she really take to heart to teach us young novice cooks when we ask her how to.
Unfortunately, since she lived so far away, whenever I thought of her home styled black pepper chicken and barbecued pork ribs I need to call her up and ask, because most of the time I forgot to write down the recipe. Yeah, I know I should write them down instead of wasting prepaid phone cards credit calling, but when you have the urge of cooking something, searching high and low for a piece of recipe is robbing off precious time, and what’s more, making a call to my aunt is a good way of keeping in touch as well. Don’t you agree?
