Strawberries

I am already back in Malacca and my Cameron Highland food posts are not finished yet! Gee, I really have a lot to catch up.

Strawberries are like, a must buy when you go all the way uphill to Cameron, and in fact, some farms even offer to let you pick your own strawberries for a price! I didn’t pick my own tough, I bought them prepackaged. Lazy me.

Strawberries could be seen selling anywhere, from the farms to the souvenir shops, and of course the Brinchang market.

If fresh strawberries are not your kind of fruit, try the dried strawberries. They are seriously yummy and less sour than the fresh ones. Strawberry products such as strawberry jam, strawberry shakes and strawberry teas are sold almost everywhere, I am sure you can’t miss seeing them.

Strawberry tarts and strawberry cupcakes! This stall selling strawberry pastries is located in Brinchang Market, although I have seen a few strawberry farms selling the same delicacies. Same baker I guess?

We bought half a dozen for RM10.00, and goodness! It was so yummilicious that we instantly regretted having bought too few. The crunchy, but yet crumbly pastry and the strawberry fillings complements each other very well. You can even feel the texture of the fruit in the filling, as it wasn’t totally pureed. Even dad, who officially declared that he is not going to eat a bite polished off a whole tart himself.

Come next trip and I will be having this for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Seriously, they are that good.
