Durians

Written on June 13, 2007 – 5:04 pm | by Jo |

There was once, for quite a long time ago, our family made a stop by the roadside to savour the wild forest durians on our way to Cameron Highland.

The taste of the durian was so good that I can’t find the same with durians bought from the local neighbourhood. And of course, during our trip to Cameron this time, we were on the lookout for roadside durian stalls.

And we did find our honeyed, thick fleshed durians!

The durians were sold by the curvy roadside for RM7.00 per kilo - I think. Or was it RM8.00?

Pick your durians and eat immediately.

It was good. Really good in fact, that the peddler confidently offers not to accept payment for durians that are not tasty. We practically finished like, five to six durians among us. The sweetness lingers even after some time. Definitely an unforgettable taste, like how we were hooked last time.
