It has been sometime since I updated this blog. Things have been hectic for me. I do have pictures here and there, and since I have more free time right now, I can make more posts.

Believe it or not, I actually learn how to cook this dish while watching a cooking anime, The Cooking Master Boy, if I remember correctly. This dish is a great way of cooking meat and capsicum. I like the tender, flavourful meat and the crunchy capsicum with white rice.

Ingredients:

200g pork, sliced thinly (I bought ready sliced pork)

100g capsicum, sliced

1/2 yellow onions, sliced thinly

1 clove of garlic, chopped finely

2 tablespoons of oil

2 teaspoons of fish sauce

2 teaspoons of light soy sauce

2 teaspoons of corn flour

1 teaspoon of dark soy sauce

salt and black pepper to taste

Method:

  1. Marinade the sliced meat with the fish sauce, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce and cornflour.
  2. Heat oil in a wok and sauted the garlic, and then add in the onions.
  3. When both the garlic and onions are sizzling and emanating nice smell from the wok, add in the sliced meat. Quickly stir fry the meat until it is almost cooked. Add a little bit of water to moisten it, but not too much. Around 2 to 3 tablespoons should be enough.
  4. Add in black pepper and salt.
  5. Throw in all the capsicums and stir fry for another 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. Dish and serve with white rice.

I usually marinade the meat with some dark soy sauce because I like the colour of the end product. The meat could be substituted with beef or chicken slices, according to your preference. If you are using beef, a little bit more of black pepper will be better. Also, I like to eat capsicums, so sometimes I add a bit more of it.
