Eating at Home

Its kinda hard to find (for me at least) to find hygienic and affordable food around Bukit Beruang, so that leaves cooking on my own as the option. Since sis was here for the past few weeks, I’ve been doing some cooking at home.

Last Monday’s dinner - Clockwise from top: Stir fried cabbage with carrots, miso soup with tofu, stir fry pork slices and mushroom and white rice.

Last Wednesday’s dinner - Fried brinjal/eggplant/aubergine drizzled with soya sauce, herbal chicken soup and french beans omelette.

The one dish that I like the most would be fried brinjal/eggplant/aubergine drizzled with soya sauce. I call them brinjals, by the way. :)

Its easy to cook, and my sis and I used to eat them at home when we stayed with grandma.

The method would be just cut the brinjals into sticks, fry them in heated oil until they are soft and mushy, dish them out and pour some soya sauce on them. I’ve garnished them with some spring onions, but my brinjal here is not mushy enough.

I heard that brinjals are bad for eyes. I am short sighted, but still I like to eat. Daisuki!
