Chang Chun Herbal Tea Shop
All the Chinese New Year feast is kinda taxing. I am quite prone to having sore throat, so here I am eating herbal jelly. Just in case. Heh. This shop is along the main road of Melaka Raya. You won’t miss it with its blinking signboard, especially late at night.
I don’t think its a great idea to eat this often. But once a while is good enough for me. I usually order this:

Mint herbal jelly for RM5.00, straight from the refrigerator. The chilled mint herbal jelly is throat numbing cold, with the combination of the chill and the mint. See the thingy I am drizzling in it? Its honey. The whole thing tasted herbal-ish and bland without the honey.
Kids and those who are not so into herbal jelly eat this:

Longan herbal jelly. Its sweet enough without the honey though. The longan jelly is more on the crunchy side, like the kinda jelly you get by cooking those straw-like thingy jelly. Meanwhile, the rest of the herbal jellies are konyakku-ey.
Read up the goodness of each type of herbal jelly.

Instant cure for wanna sore wanna sore throat. At least for me.
It is said that regular consumption can alleviate bowel and pimple problems too. Let’s see, the pearl herbal jelly’s supposed to preserve youthfulness. Hmmm….Eating pearl powder….
Stools and marble table, nice place to chill out with a bowl of herbal jelly. I usually go at night because parking can be a bitch in the afternoon during peak hour. If herbal jelly is not your cup of tea, they do sell chrysanthemum tea with or without medicine powder and bird’s nest soup.
