Homemade yong tofu, by my Aunty Pat. She always makes this in big batches and fry them when the supply on the dining table run low…

yongtofu
Beancurd skin stuffed with fish paste. I like them hot and crunchy.

stuffed beancurd
An assortment of red and green chillies, okra and beancurd stuffed with fish paste.

lapmei
Waxed sausages steamed with arrow head slices. I think this dish is pretty traditional.

kam heong chicken
Kam heong chicken. This one I cook one! Later I write down recipe! Learned from Aunty Sim. She is a great cook with a lot of recipe under her sleeves.

ribs
Spare ribs king (pai kuat wong). Deep fried spare ribs coated with a mixture of tomato sauce, HP sauce and some other ingredients. It looks kinda blood smeared in the picture, but I assure you that its not. Another tasty dish by Aunty Sim.

homemade yeesang
Homemade yeesang, by Aunty Sim too! This is purely homemade, even the crunchy crackers are freshly fried. Contains carrot, radish, cucumber, chillies, pomegranate flesh and jellyfish with chopped peanut and toasted sesame toppings and plum sauce as gravy. All natural and healthy.

fried rice
This fried rice is by feel. Hehehe. Went to his house for barbecue and I requested some white rice. But hey he fried them instead. Seafood fried rice with a piece of half eaten barbecued lamb at the side.

That’s pretty much what I ate during Chinese New Year. There is a lot more, but I can’t get the chance to take decent pictures of them before they got eaten. :)
